The Wasp HAS Mk1 was introduced to service in 1964. It served in its primary role with 829 Naval Air Squadron (NAS), but also in training units to supply crews for the front line with 706 NAS between 1965 and 1967 and in 703 NAS between 1972 and 1981. In all 98 wasps were built

Great flying - just a shame you can't put the radio traffic on the audio, I imagine it must be quite intense. I am still working up to the helilanes down H4 as far as Vauxhall Bridge and return, all dry-run practice videos welcome!
Thank you - I used to take lots of videos with the ATC audio, but unfortunately with the changes in headphone jack sockets, I haven’t caught up with my adaptors yet to record it! Sorry! Sounds like you are getting your practice in before hand- that’s half the trick ! Do shout if you ever want a hand, asking questions over the phone etc , or want me to jump in on your first flight !

Some good stuff, but the rate of speech reading the material really makes it a chore to understand. Takes longer to rewind and pause. Better to make the video longer and speak at a normal and more understandable rate of speech.

I’d rather fly a 500C instead of driving a GT3RS.
There was some serious kit there - cars and helicopter wise- with , surprisingly, some cars costing more than the helis ! But yes, a 500 is a blast !

due to several crash i didnt like the r22 n r 44 but the R 66 turbine incredible
The 66 is powerful, and has the spare capacity for some nice optional extras to be installed without substantially reducing the payload!

a little faster, due to the reduced drag, easier for some people to climb up into the cockpit. Perhaps you don’t have such a tall roof for your hangar . Downsides - more chance of torching the ground with the exhaust

Fortunately not the case , the pilot on that one is a very very experienced chap that has collected more records that I can recall!
would be cool to see something radically different from md like a twin engine version of the 500 that is larger
Unfortunately, MD helicopters has gone through much management and financial turmoil over the last 30years, the current directors are trying to improve the supply line and support the most successful product- the 500 itself
A big part of that turmoil was MD's legal battles with Boeing over an agreement they had in 2005, in exchange for 15M cash, 10M loan & debt restructure. MD would sell the IP for the MD530F and the right to produce any derivatives. To date MD has lost all but one case and competes directly with Boeing with basically the same airframe, MD530G and Boeing's AH6i. No guesses on who has the deeper pockets.

Worked in aerospace. You should go in depth about the pros and cons of the design. Otherwise its another waste of time.
Certainly could discuss the spitfire development and how it changed over the years , and how, eventually , its shorter range made it impractical for the escort role (that it was never designed for!) . But I hope you don’t feel the video was a waste of time, for some, watching , or listening to it start up brings satisfaction
